Dr. Valentin Muresan, General Manager Romania

Dr Muresan received his BEng (5 year Engineer Diploma) degree from Polytechnic University of Timisoara, Romania in Sep 1996.

From January 1997 until February 2001 he was a research assistant with the School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University (DCU), where he worked towards his PhD which he received in October 2002.

In February 2001, Dr Muresan was appointed as the research programme manager of DCU’s Centre for Digital Video Processing hardware group working in low power video compression.

In 2004 he successfully completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).

He was awarded an Albert College Career Start Fellowship in March 2002 by the DCU Research Advisory Panel. He is a reviewer with the IEICE Transactions on Information and Systems and also acted as external examiner.

Dr Muresan has numerous publications and patents to his name.
